BY-LAWS of THE ALUMNI CONNECTION

Our association is organized exclusively for alumni/professional/student liaison, charitable, and educational purposes.
We seek to help build the Program’s professional voice, standing, and value, thereby improving the opportunities within the job market while educating the public about landscape architecture and the Program

We act as a conduit and network between and with the profession, Program, students, and alumni.

Presidential exhortation
Furthering the alumni connections objectives has been interesting. The students and graduates are busy and busy squared. Add this to the fact that we don’t all have a water cooler or corner bakery at which to meet and requires us to network creatively in the diverse and widespread Los Angeles region. Furthermore, to promote mentoring, it seems to me, that what is required is a give and take mentality. If students and graduates get involved and yoked up to the following groups, an interchange can occur:

-ASLA
-SCC-ASLA
-UCLALAS, UCLA Landscape Architecture Students at Yahoo.com
- UCLA extension’s web site:

By getting involved and helping to carry the water you will meet those in the profession and be able to ask questions which further your interests. You will also find out about those events which occur frequently all over this city. Yours, Greg Sullivan ‘92, ASLA
